About Montse Valdés
This widely acclaimed Catalan artist has been examining the female nude for more than 20 years having appeared in various publications and numerous European galleries.
Her studies in fine art have been varied and comprehensive having trained with both the highly respected Artur Aldomà Puig and Isidre Vilaseca. Valdes’s countless accolades reflect her lengthy experience as accomplished artist.
Valdés approaches her figures with an intimacy that is both extreme and sensitive.
The subtlety with which she paints expressions, the soft pastel palette, gentle lines and choice of composition mirror an inner world loaded with profound sensitivity, spirituality, vulnerability and beauty. Although her figures evoke the classics they are united in their current quest for peace and harmony today.
